October 25th – Montgomery Whitewater Rafting Adventure
Let’s go whitewater rafting! Located 2 minutes from base is the Montgomery Whitewater center. Perfect for beginners to intermediate paddlers and rafters, the channels mimic a natural river. The 2,200-foot-long Creek Channel is designed for a Class II whitewater experience and is an excellent introduction to whitewater. A step up from the Creek Channel, the 1,600-foot-long Competition Channel is an incredible playground for those with more advanced skills and is ideal for even the novice rafter looking to take on bigger rapids. Both channels intersect in the lower pond to the takeout or back up the conveyor belt for another run. Whether you’re new to rafting or an experienced river royal this trip is guaranteed to please!
What: 90 minutes of rafting
When: 1600 – 1800
Cost: RecOn (Active duty, Reservists, and direct dependents) $10 / All Others $55
Trip Includes: Guide, rafting gear, & water shoes
Requirements: Must be able to swim, age 8 + with an onsite chaperone, and must be able to fit in a life vest which allows for a 55” limit chest size
